KYS Outdoor Adventures offers fishing charters from La Push on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Complete beginners are warmly welcomed, whether you are a child holding a rod for the first time or an adult finally giving fishing a try. Capt. Lamont shows you how to use the gear, recognize a bite and reel in your fish. Questions are encouraged, and patient help is part of your trip.

Choose shared seats or a private outing for your own crew. Tell us who is coming and what you hope to do; the captain helps match the trip to your group.

Make a full day of fishing with family or friends aboard the Safari. Choose shared seats or reserve the boat for your own crew, with gear and guidance from Capt. Lamont.

After we get our halibut, we target sea bass to round out your fishing day.

Questions before you book

Can I come if I have never fished before?

Absolutely. No fishing experience is needed. Capt. Lamont provides the gear, explains the basics and offers patient, step-by-step help. Adults and children trying fishing for the first time are warmly welcomed.

Can one or two people book?

Yes. You can request shared seats. Nearshore Rockfish and the 5-hour rockfish-and-lingcod trip need three total booked anglers to operate; your party does not have to supply all three.

Where do we meet?

Trips depart from La Push Marina. Capt. Lamont confirms the meeting location and departure time before your trip.

Is the trip confirmed when I submit a request?

No. Capt. Lamont reviews the request and confirms your trip. Follow the confirmation and payment instructions from the booking system.

Can we request a custom departure?

Yes. Ask about an early or later departure. Timing depends on the chosen trip, tides and weather.
