THE SHORT ANSWER
A La Push ocean charter can fit into an Olympic Peninsula visit, especially with a shorter trip. Confirm your departure and return first, then leave a buffer for fish processing and travel. This charter is separate from fishing Olympic National Park’s rivers and lakes.

Where your charter begins
KYS Outdoor Adventures departs from La Push on the Olympic Peninsula. Your outing is an ocean charter from the marina, separate from fishing in Olympic National Park’s rivers or lakes. A park visit and an ocean fishing day involve different access and fishing rules.
Build your day around the boat first
Ask Capt. Lamont for the expected departure and return before committing to hikes, restaurant reservations or a long drive. Tides and weather set the boating schedule. A 4-hour rockfish trip can leave room for another activity, but allow time for returning to the dock and processing fish.
Keep your base close enough
Consider staying in La Push or the Forks area before an early departure. Review lodging directly with the operator and plan for check-in times and meals. Download your directions and keep the captain’s contact information available before heading toward the coast.
The beaches have different access
First Beach is on the Quileute Indian Reservation. Second and Third Beaches are within Olympic National Park; Rialto Beach has a separate road approach. Do not assume you can walk from one to another across the river. Respect tribal property, posted access rules and current park notices.
Leave room for a weather change
An ocean outing may need to change if conditions are unsuitable. Keep a flexible land-based option and check National Park Service alerts before traveling. For a group with mixed interests, a shorter fishing trip or a private coastal sightseeing outing may be the better fit.
